Proselyte: awarded to members who have previously been cheap arses in whatever way, but who "turn to the light"
Proselyter: awarded to members who encourage persons mentioned above to abandon their cheap ways, and become bundies.
OR
awarded to members who used reasoned debate to change someone's opinion on any subject.
OR
Both.
Edit: Scientist (obvious, plus you might be able to sovietise this somehow)
Historian (obvious)
Edit2: Order of Gagarin: for being the first to do something notable.
Edit3: there should also be an award for people who help beta test other forum members programs, no ideas for a name though.
Edit4: there should also be an award for giving constructive criticism to the creative efforts of other forum members.
Edit5: there should certainly be an award for seeing a creative project through to the end (especially if it is a group effort) and not succumbing to procrastination, laziness and excuses, whether is be a game mod, or a game in itself, or an animated movie, or whatever.
Edit6: There should be an "award" (more like just recognition) for being a member of the Harry Forum steam group.
Edit7: There should be an award for encouraging a friend (or anyone else) to sign up and post, for example, Hernan would get one for Rezolutionary. edit: called "recruitment officer" or something? I dunno.
Edit8: There should be an award, exclusively for moderators, who use their moderator powers prudently, and justly, for the greater good of the forum.
Perhaps an award for suggesting successfully adopted awards?
Also, the Beta testers award could be something along the lines of being an 'assistant' of sorts, or maybe even Henchman? Or maybe a more appropriate term, but along those lines?

I would add this, but I can't say i know many full blown cheaparses on the forum anyway. There are people who hold opposing values to the ones myself and the moderation team, but I think that's a *good* thing. Awards which promote homogenisation of ideas is detrimental to cross pollenation. If someone fully like, turned a troll around or talked someone out of a rage, or liberated someone from ignorance, that would be better imo... something more, specific.

I reckon these come under "knowledgeable" - You just specify the reason as science or history

Order of gagarin, imo should cover testing and first to do something notable - Gagarin was a test pilot. For being first to do something notable, i'll have more of a think about that. I think maybe gagarin should only come from testing something which is subsequently released. Not necesarilly finished, but at least released.

Stuff like that imo is covered by Loyalist

and I'd say this is covered by Propagandist
your other suggestions though, are wholeheartedly approved.

umm, I think that whole post was based on the assumption that when I said "change someone's opinion" I meant "brainwash to your own views".
I don't see how changing someone's opinion is equal to indoctrination...in fact, the very assertion that it is appears to be anti-education/anti-learning. Let me use something that just happened as an example. In the space thread, I stated that private space endeavours would not bring us any closer to colonising Mars. Then Hernan mentioned something, which I hadn't considered, and said private endeavours could result in the development of more efficient engines, and thus make extraterrestrial colonies slightly more attainable. I conceded that this was indeed true.
Was I indoctrinated? No. Was my opinion changed by new information? Yes.
Edit: err, the post this was a response to seems to have vanished...

I wasn't talking about "values" or "ideas" I specifically said "cheaparse in whatever way", which could be something like, a tendency to be aggressive or narrow minded, etc..
Believe me, the sort of "cheapness" I'm talking about isn't a "good" thing to have around, whatever values or ideas you hold.

Well, I was thinking if other members saw how many members were in the steam group, it might encourage more to join.
